Resting Metabolic Rate

Metabolic rate is a measure of how much food, or fat, is converted to energy in a day. Resting metabolic rate (RMR) is the measurement of how much food, or energy, is required to maintain basic body functions such as heartbeat, breathing, and maintenance of body heat while you are in a state of rest. That energy is expressed in calories per day. So an RMR test shows how many calories you burn at rest, doing nothing more than sitting in a chair

VO2 Max

A VO2 Max Test is a measurement that reflects a person’s ability to perform sustained exercise. It is generally considered the best indicator of cardiovascular fitness and aerobic endurance. The actual measurement is “milliliters of oxygen used in one minute per kilogram of body weight.” It is suitable for a wide range of individuals, from the sedentary to elite athletes.

Medical Doctor focused on Health

Lonnie Lassiter MD, MBA is a board certified physician and entrepreneur with a passion for helping others. A native of North Carolina, Lonnie graduated from North Carolina State then attended East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine. Lonnie also holds a Master of Business Administration from Yale University. Following his residency at Florida Hospital, Lonnie returned to North Carolina and opened his private practice, Advanced Wellness Institute. He has held multiple positions over the years including Polk Country Hospice Director, Emergency Department Director at S. Luke’s Hospital, and Medical Director for the Rutherford Wound Care and Hyperbarics. He is the owner of Wound Care Systems, Solor Medical Consulting Company, and Wound Care Specialists. A music enthusiast, Lonnie purchased Pinecastle Records, a major blue-grass label in 2010, and added to his repertoire with the launch of Bonfire Recording Company, which works with musicians from several genres. Lonnie has a passion for helping others with health and weight loss, in business and having happier lives. 

He lives in the mountains of North Carolina and loves spending time with his wife and four children.

My personal experience with weight loss and fitness is applied to your life.  I know that everyone can achieve optimal health and dial back the clock on their life.  I believe that a supportive, knowledeable health coach with the application of medical science is the easiest way to attain the best health for people.

I will begin your plan with an honest assessment of your physical condition.  We can perform labs and physiology testing to assess your metabolism and once we know where you are, we build a custom plan that fits into your busy life.  Then, we work tirelessly to help you achieve your results with accountability and knowledge.

Unlike others, our programs are delivered in person, online an via apps.  Your success is the most important thing to us so your ability to stick to your program is paramount.  We have invested in the ability to deliver your program how you want it.  When you use your program consistently, you will succeed.
